Flooring vents are crucial to ensuring a project lasts as long as possible. Whether you’re dealing with hardwood or engineered wood flooring, ventilation plays an important part in improving air quality, as well as preventing rot, dampness, or other structurally detrimental decay. 

The wood species is the aspect that determines how well vents will perform. There are different types available on the market, and they vary in durability, hardness, and grain pattern. At First Atlanta Flooring, we carry the best-quality vents made out of red or white oak, American and Brazilian cherry, hickory, or maple. In terms of color, our flooring vents are unfinished. They may be finished in whatever color you want, or you can go for the natural look. Along with that, you should also consider the luster. Next, there are many types of flooring vents to choose from. The flush-with-frame models have the cleanest look possible. Their slim and trim styling is tough, although it looks delicate. The frame is installed permanently on the subfloor, while the vent is removable to permit cleaning of the duct throat. You can also add an easy slide damper to any vent.

The drop-in flooring vents, also known as self-rimming vents, are the most popular option for situations in which the floors were installed without a vent. They sit on top of the surface of any installed flooring and conceal inexact cuts in the surface material. 

The egg-crate vents maximize air due to their 3/8″ wide webs. The frames are cut from 1-3/16″ rabbeted stock, glued and blind-nailed to the subfloor and the flooring fitted to it. Metal flooring vents are dampers that can be used on the Trimline insert and flush-with-frame models (on the standard sizes.)
