Flooring
When it comes to flooring, the market is saturated with a wide variety of options – from hardwood flooring to engineered flooring, laminate flooring, and even vinyl. Whether you’re arranging an office, an apartment building, or you’re just renovating a home, you should take a few things into account before making a purchase: the furniture of the space, its architecture, its design, the climate, the foot traffic, and more. Of course, you also need to factor in the client’s preference: are they going for a more contemporary look, or do they prefer a rustic, cozy-cabin-style vibe for the space?Â
At First Atlanta Flooring, we provide you with the best types of wood flooring that can fit your needs and help you complete your projects and achieve customer satisfaction. What’s more, we carry only NWFA-certified hardwood floors.
- If you want to go for solid hardwood flooring, we carry solid wood planks made from a single piece of hardwood cut from a tree. These usually have a thickness of 3/4 inches, or 19mm, and come in two forms: prefinished or unfinished. The red oak and white oak are available in three colors: cafe, gunstock, and neutral. Moreover, each type of wood has a hardness rating that shows how durable it is.
- If your client doesn’t want hardwood floors, or hardwood is not the best option for the given space, then engineered wood flooring is a great alternative. Installing engineered wood floors requires the floorboards to be glued or nailed, using quality adhesives and specific installation tools. They are made of three or four layers of wood glued together, and they are about 5/8 inches (15mm) thick. Here too, you can choose between prefinished hardwood flooring and unfinished hardwood flooring.Â
